For more information about our company, visit us at . Currently, we are seeking a Souricing & Supply Management Specialist for our Appleton, WI South Office location.

Summary:

The incumbent typically reports to a Director or a Manager within SSM and is responsible for managing assigned commodities, suppliers, and purchases to meet customer needs. Primary emphasis centers around the purchase and support outsourcing services and ensure providers procure assigned materials, equipment, and services, and manage relationships with key assigned suppliers.



Responsibilities:

-Responsible for procurement of assigned services within established policies and procedures.
-Working with provider, develop procurement strategies for specific purchases or commodities which will best meet business needs.
-Ensure provider will identify, evaluate, and select suppliers which best meet business needs.
-Oversee solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and awarding of complex contracts for specific purchases (complex technical, commercial, and/or financial aspects).
-Administer contracts in an equitable manner including changes, claims, waivers, releases, etc.
-Assist in formulating and managing supplier objectives.
-Manage assigned projects to reduce costs (internal and/or external) or modify procedures or systems to meet specific needs.
-Advise and train customers, as required (purchasing approaches/procedures).

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related discipline.
-8 experience including mill and staff experiences.
-Continued updating and/or progress toward advanced degree or equivalent in area of technical expertise.
-Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in a major purchasing commodity group.
-Operates with a minimum of business direction, with a highly developed skill in working with people.
