Description
As a member of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team, the Architect - Security is responsible for defining the enterprise architecture program; Coordinate the analysis of IT industry and market trends and developing roadmaps for the security area with the objective of ensuring alignment with business strategy and overall enterprise architecture direction.
Customers:
?Primary customers include the Infrastructure Solutions Management Team, Delivery Managers and Subject Matter Experts
?Works with all ITS and business / staff units to define business-focused technology strategies
Expectations:
?Link the Business / ITS Business Partners and Infrastructure Solutions teams, translating business needs into technical requirements
?Participate is risk assessment projects to produce holistic recommendations of acceptable risk
?Initiate research, make recommendations and contribute to K-C's knowledge base such that customers and ITS have the information to make and implement effective solutions
?With Infrastructure Solutions Subject Matter Experts, develop and maintain the Technology Architecture Metamodel (stacks, components, tools) and Domain Plans for security
?Conduct Enterprise Architecture Assessments, conduct Stage Gate Reviews
?Identify significant trends and functional shifts that impact Infrastructure Solutions and other ITS teams, and develop sound recommendations to capitalize on the opportunities which provide the most value to K-C
?Track and report metrics for security architecture area
?Maintain active and productive vendor relationships & communicate vendor direction to ITS Teams
?Provide general architecture consulting and education to the Enterprise

?Broad business and technical knowledge/background of multiple technology areas, including but not limited to: networking, application hosting, security, personal computing, voice, video and messaging -

Qualifications:
?A Bachelors degree with 15 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree relative to the position with 10 years of relevant experience
Organization:
?Reports to the Director – Cross Services Architecture
?This position has no direct reports but success relies on working effectively with and through a large extended, indirect team
